Disobedient men and their pews will end up in the Lake of Fire

Put your ear down to the Bible, and hear him bid you go and pull sinners out of the fire of sin. Put your ear down to the burdened, agonized heart of humanity, and listen to its pitiful wail for help. Go stand by the gates of hell, and hear the damned entreat you to go to their father’s house and bid their brothers and sisters, and servants and masters not to come there. And then look Christ in the face, whose mercy you have professed to obey, and tell him whether you will join heart and soul and body and circumstances in the march to publish his mercy to the world.” ~ William Booth

Are you sick and tired of just sitting in your pews? Are you frustrated with the same old things, every week the same, Sunday Wednesday, Wednesday Sunday. Meeting after meeting not much changing, not much power, not many salvations. Where is the book of Acts in your life? Where are the promises of God? Where is your obedience to the gospel; to take care of the poor, to defend the powerless, to stand with those who are afflicted, or to stand with those who have no voice?

You have been called to obey your King Jesus to come out of the self made prisons of the 4 walls. You have been called to do great things in His name. To preach, to conquer to fight and to win. We all are called to be doers of the word and not just hearers only. If not you, then who? If not now, when? If not here, where? Deep inside of you, you know that there is a lot more than just coming to a building 20, 30, 40 years and then dying in them.

God has you in this city to forward His kingdom. So go and forward it, being fully aware that the cowardly will not inherit the kingdom of God. The victory is given to those men of faith that obey and believe that we are the ambassadors of the great King, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, the Lord Jesus Christ. God says, obedience is better then sacrifice, and without faith you cannot please God.

God says shine everywhere and go and be the salt in every season and time. 4 times a week in Calgary Street Church volunteers are bringing the book of Acts to the streets. 4 times a week, on the steps of City Hall in Calgary, there is a church without a roof and walls where the whole gospel is preached and lived out, where thousands of poor people are being fed, where people are being healed and the lives of many are being turned around in the name of Jesus Christ. It is a place where God’s name is lifted high, without shame, for all to see; in the open, in public.

Come out of your comfort zone; worship, sing and pray at the heart of your own city. Influence the influencers for eternity, by prayer, music, word and deed at the gates of City Hall like we do, or whatever venue God places you at. This is our chance to change history and bring many to God’s kingdom. It will cost you, true, yes (your pride and your time) but what a great reward awaits all of His faithful ones when He returns.

God has given us an amazing opportunity in this city, right in the open, right in the face of the devil. God prepares a table week after week, so if you are in Calgary come and join us.

Just remember, pew warmers do not conquer anything, they do not live out the promises of the Father and, in the end, they are left with the chairs they are sitting on which will end up, with all the other earthly things, in the lake of fire. But what’s worse, is if you find yourself sitting on that pew, in disobedience to God’s will, fully aware that He has commanded you to go. When He returns, you yourself will be thrown into the Lake of Fire with that pew. Jesus, Himself, said I would rather that you be hot or cold, for if you are lukewarm, I will spew you out of my mouth. Don’t forget that Jesus said, that in the end many will come to Him saying, Lord, Lord … and He will respond depart from Me you evil doers. In other words the scriptures say, if you know what to do and do not do it, to God it is sin, which is attributed to you.

As for those of us who have been put in roles of stewardship over others, we must remember that to whom much is given, much is required, and we have to be careful that we will not end up in hell with our Bibles in one hand and our pulpits in the other. We are held more accountable since we are the messengers of God’s laws and promises. The true leader says, “Come with me and i will lead the way”. The cowardly and selfish says “Go and I will pray for you and support you from behind”. Such hypocrisy is not going to be tolerated when we stand before the righteous judge, who has told us that He will not be mocked. Jesus showed us how to do it, and if we are not doing it we are just plain clanging symbols, words without real love, which is manifested, not just spoken about.

When you read this article are you offended, if you disobey God, you will be offended, or at least you should. If you are living for Jesus, this letter will not be an offence to you but rather will spur you on in the faith, making you even more bold and courageous.

In the words of one man, “Actions give credibility to our words and give us a platform from which to speak.”

History is made by radicals, uncompromising stubborn narrow minded people with true passion in their hearts. Jesus’ radicals are driven by passionate love for Him and for the truth which sets the captives free, with one agenda to influence this wicked world, with the righteousness of God for the salvation of many.

Mark this world with your obedience, to Christ, and make history with His-story in your city and in your country. We can change this nation because nothing is impossible for our God, and for those who believe in the name of Jesus Christ. Hear O “Israel” (church) what amazing things God wants to do through you, listen to His heart of passion that cries out for the lost, and obey, O mighty men of God, His great commission. Remember, the Bible says that wisdom is vindicated by its fruit and the scriptures say a wise man wins souls.

James 2

13 because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

(deeds in the Lord and for our fellow man, in the name of Jesus Christ, are acts of mercy)

Faith and Deeds

14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”

Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that-and shudder.

20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless

26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

Live today as though Christ will return tomorrow,

Blessings to you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth,

Artur Pawlowski on behalf of Street Church Ministries
