I received this press release and coincidentally a polling done by CBC yesterday morning with this question:
Do you believe that the word God should stay in Canadian culture??
CBC this morning had a poll on this question. They had the highest Number of responses that they have ever had for one of their polls, and the Percentage was the same as this:?
86% to keep the words God Keep our Land? in the National Anthem?
14%?against?

Many may find Street Church’s lead Pastor Artur Pawlowski rather blunt, confrontational and outspoken. I believe that he has a purpose for doing so. He loves the LORD, a young man who went on fire for HIM and has every energy and purpose to serve HIM only. He has touched many young people’s lives and they too are on fire for the LORD. Many of these including Art, I am about old enough to be their parent. It is such a pleasing sight to watch them in action, which often times I so want and desire to have the energy to join them in their service as they serve their KING of kings.
Ever since I got involved with that ministry, I went back to the LORD and told Him that He certainly had a great sense of humor. At the end of my 56th year of life, He finally hands me a precious diamond – Street Church. For many years in my life, during my Catholic days and a Believer, I have been searching and searching for this type of a ministry. As a Catholic I was actively serving in the church since I was 9 years old starting as an Alter boy to going in for training to become a Brother. This continued till the day the LORD miraculously took Yvonne, my then fiancée and I out of the Catholic church about one hour before we could attend mass one Sunday afternoon. HE immediately led us to the “Pro-test” church the next hour when we attended a Methodist Service that afternoon and we continued to serve the LORD as a born again believer in Jesus Christ; now for 30 years. All these years of both church lives, I truly have not found the type of joy until I came to serve at Street Church.
If 86% of the participants at the CBC poll want the Word of God to stay in the Canadian culture, we, those of us who are leaders in any given capacity or otherwise ought to stand up and support each other regardless to keep the Word of God in our Canadian culture. One of the seven deadly sins in Proverbs 6:16-19 – one who sows discord among brethren; we ought to function as one body in Christ and not stay divided nor should we encourage division. I am appealing for everyone to stand up with each other and support the kingdom of our KING with oneness regardless of our differences.
Coming from a country surrounded by millions of Muslims, if the same type of appeal were to be made to the Muslims, without a doubt, support will be almost unanimous. Therefore, the support I am requesting is:
1. Write to Mr. David Swanson – chair for Stampede Parade and show support for Street Church participation. Ask him to reverse his decision.

Show these organizers that Christians too are one body in Christ though we are diversified. At the end of the day when Christ comes back again, HE will be coming for just ONE Bride. Can we be counted as faithful, standing up for HIS Kingdom?
